Our Authors

Monica Fairview Regency Fantasy authorMonica Fairview, a former literature professor and acupuncturist living near London, is a confirmed Jane Austen addict who is now having fun writing novels that combine magic, bonnets, and handsome gentlemen in cravats. She loves to chuckle, read, and visit historical places. And magic!

Abigail Reynolds ought to be embarrassed to admit she’s been writing Austen-inspired novels for over 20 years, but as a retired doctor, she’s immune to embarrassment. She keeps her retellings of the beloved story of Elizabeth and Darcy fresh by taking them in new directions with magic, Faerie, and alternate history.

Maria Grace is a long-time fantasy and science fiction fan with a PhD in educational psychology who was happily writing Jane Austen variations when a grumpy dragon hijacked her. Now the Jane Austen’s Dragons series is 10 books long and counting. She writes gaslamp fantasy, historical romance and non-fiction to help justify her research addiction.

Melanie Rachel has a Ph.D. in English and enjoys convincing her business-minded college students that reading is magical. She believes the love story of Darcy and Elizabeth transcends time and place, so writes them in many worlds: regency, modern, and fantastical. Melanie lives in Arizona with her husband and their rescue dogs, who would rather chew books than read them.

Lari Ann O’Dell made the fatal mistake of picking up a Pride & Prejudice variation in a bookstore closing sale. It must have had a magical curse on it, since it compelled her to drop everything and start writing them herself – and including paranormal characters and magic. Now a nurse, Lari strives to keep her sanity by working on her next magical story.

Victoria Kincaid has written more than 16 Pride & Prejudice variations, has a Ph.D. in English literature, and runs the annual JAFF Reader/Writer Get Together. She is a full-time writer/editor who specializes in subjects like IT and crime and justice. On weekends she immerses herself in Austen and magic. She lives near Washington DC with her husband, who fortunately is not threatened by Mr. Darcy.

Sarah Courtney loves to read fantasy, fairy tales, and Pride & Prejudice variations, so what could be more fun than combining them? She currently lives in Virginia where she homeschools her six children and still manages to write books, which has to be proof that magic exists!
